Ashley and Micky were already married when I met to talk with Ashley. They elected to have an intimate and awesome destination wedding in the Caribbean. A totally rad option for anyone getting married (and PS. I travel to the Caribbean -- for a marginal travel fee, flights are cheap from DC!). But sometimes people who have destination weddings have a dope reception back home, and that's where I stepped in!
They chose the place where I had my rehearsal dinner 5 years earlier, Clyde's Willow Creek Farm. All the cool wooden decorations, beautiful facade, and of course stellar food, make it the perfect spot for a party. I could tell from talking to Ashley immediately, that we were a good fit. I got the vibe of someone who values a good time, making sure that all her guests are having a good time, and just generally happy and sweet. That did not change when I met Micky who immediately after meeting me offered to get me water and help anyway he could. I didn't need it, but it was a touching gesture.
We had a truncated, but fun, getting ready time, and then we jumped into formal photos with friends (bridesmaids from the previous wedding) and family. It was a blast, from the delicious food, fun party, and overall happiness in the atmosphere!
