It happened on my wedding day, and it happened on Shara & Edgar's wedding day: rain. It's everyone's worst fear when it comes to wedding planning (alright maybe not the worst fear, but it's up there for sure!). Then a genius (parent of either the bride or groom, I bet) created the phrase "rain on your wedding day is good luck" to calm the nerves of the couple. But the truth is that nobody likes rain, even if it's not your wedding day.
So who do we combat rain on a wedding day? Easy! You hire me!
Alright, that's a bit of bragging, and not exactly true. But the truth is, us experienced wedding photographers know that rain is a possibility at every wedding we photograph. So we prepare for it. We can re-align our creative vision for portraits to not needing to go outside, we have the equipment to handle indoor ceremonies, and most importantly -- we're water resistant (and so is our gear), so IF YOU DO want to go out in the rain... we say: BRING IT ON!
Regardless of the weather. NOTHING could bring either of these two down on their wedding day. Both Shara and Edgar were all smiles, but so were their friends and family. And Dulany's Overlook had the perfect solution for such an occasion. Albeit dark (see above: we bring lights for all possibilities), their barn was a beautiful location, and intimate.
Just take a look at a few from this wonderful day!
