There were two themes for this wedding, one you can read about further down, but the other was "ABOUT TIME!". These two finally (literally) tied the knot after being together for 30 years!
Melanie & Jim's wedding was absolutely fantastic. I learned so much about them over the last few months, and so much more on that Sunday, their wedding day. For instance, they were married on Melanie's grandparent's anniversary (LOVE IT!), and were heavily into a flawless 1950s theme for the day! From her beautiful dress, to the three piece suits, and all the photos used for table markers (which were actually photos taken by Melanie's father, a NYC fashion photographer).
The weather was just perfect, which is extremely lucky during these DC summer weddings. It was a little hot, but that was no problem at all, we were inside mostly, with the AC crankin'! Just take a little perusal through these great photos for a glimpse into this magical day!
Who was involved in making this dream wedding happen? Good question!

And DECOR by...
Melanie! (The bride!) -- she put endless hours and immeasurable attention to detail and effort into every single aspect of the decor. Including combing through so many photos to choose the perfect image for each table (and her son, Jason, who scanned all the film photos and made sure they were perfect) , the personally designed table numbers, vases, favors, invitations, the cake stand.
